Marinero Moli is a jewelry brand that embodies the soul of Mediterranean. Drawing inspiration from the lush landscape, crystalline sea and simple, yet rich in values, lifestyle of the region, I created Marinero Moli to tell a story of mediterranean heritage, nature and human spirit. At the heart of Marinero Moli lies a deep appreciation for the mediterranean colorful and stylish way of life so that the pieces I create are always playful, asymmetric, chic and vibrant, often classic with the twist - just like the whole region. In my work I combine natural elements with contemporary design in order to produce posh and unique jewelry that resonates with those who call Mediterranean home and those who dream of visiting its idyllic shores.
When i was thinking about the name of the brand, Marinero Moli came by itself. Evoking the classic blue and white stripes , Marinero serves as a perfect metaphor for the love of the sea. This timeless motif pays homage to the fishermen and sailors who have navigated these, sometimes stormy sometimes smooth, waters for centuries. Moli, on the other hand, means mill in Mallorcan dialect and gives a nod and aknowledgment to mediterranean rich agricultural heritage. These traditional mills, once the heart of flour production, remind me always of the hard work and craftsmanship that shaped our communities.
From the azure hues of the sea and endless shades of blue, green, orange and red to the earthy and dusty rose tones of the rugged cliffs , the colors, textures and forms found in nature inspire each of my creations. Motifs that I often use are waves, sea shells, starfish, sun, seahorse, little fishes, old coins, compass, pebbles and of course traditional buttons - but that’s a whole story on its own and they deserve a separate text (coming soon 😉).
Wearing Marinero Moli is more than just accessorizing. It is about embracing a lifestyle steeped in simplicity, joy, colors, connection and love for the earth. My wish is to encourage you, while wearing it, to enjoy the simple but so meaningful pleasures of life- from the gentle whisper of the sea breeze to the laughter shared over a typical meal, such as pasta pomodoro or ensaïmada de Mallorca, made with love and care. Marinero Moli brings the essence of Mediterranean and its perfect not-symmetry that, put together, gives the irresistible charm hardly to be found anywhere else.
